Al Tahmazi transcends this lyrical abstraction and tends towards a more conceptual abstraction, refusing the arbitrary separation between figuration and abstraction. For him, space is more than just a simple alchemy of pigments, it is literally a concept.

‘A Face of an ancient dreamer’ is the title of this exhibition for Altahmazi, a Bahraini artist, who knew the pretty color and its influence through a selected theme that expresses a real nativity correlated with wide openness. He concentrates on expressing the oriental woman through the beauty of figure and apparel, that’s what made these paintings dream faces for true.
